AI is a fundamental, transformational technology that is having an increasing role in the communications space. As our customers  invest in scaling their customer experiences, AI is powering a new breed of intelligent customer interactions. This position is an opportunity to own the end to end AI Product roadmap within Vonage.

You will have the opportunity to help chart our AI strategy by working with our stakeholders to define the problems we are solving using AI and ML for our API, Contact Centre and Unified Communications customers.

Our ability to deliver AI as a feature and as a Product within our Communications API’s and API’s, is a critical component to Vonage’s  success.

What you will do

  • Organise and rationalise the AI product backlog, align strategic priorities. and introduce required items in the roadmap
  • Interpret and document new product feature requests from commercial areas of the business including Vonage R&D
  • Own the  planning the go to market strategy of new AI products and releases and help manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan with the Engineering, Marketing and Partnerships teams
  • Assist in formulating the strategy, concepts, product requirements and use cases for AI as a feature within Vonage’s  RTC and low code/no code products 
  • Actively collaborate with Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance & Legal colleagues to design and implement the best solution to achieve business goals
  • Help formulate  troubleshooting strategies  with Engineering and Customer Support, building best in class tooling to support internal troubleshooting
  • Support Product Managers in the design of AI features within their roadmaps.
  • Formulate a first class customer experience and work with other teams to realise this vision
  • Integrate customer feedback and performance metrics continuously into plans

What is required for application

  • 5+ years of product management and/or data science experience, with project experience in AI/ Machine Learning  
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or similar field and Master of Science  
  • Knowledge of  (experience  nice to have) modern machine learning libraries, frameworks, and technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Minimum 3 years of Product or Operational Management experience
  • Experience building API products or using APIs as a developer
  • Familiar with web technologies e.g. HTML, CSS, Javascript/Typescript, REST
  • Understanding of UNIX/Linux systems and basic sysadmin abilities
  • Experience with Agile methodologies & tools (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence and project management tools
