Why this role matters:

The Product Analyst will play a key role in the Product team through, analysing data and trends about user behaviour, revenue and margin, commercial prospects and service.  This role will help drive commercial outcomes by turning data into insights that improve existing products, identify new opportunities and inform the product roadmap. 

 

What you will do:

  • Define and track performance metrics for the Apps product group at the product level for both existing and new products
  • Build, maintain and continuously improve product dashboards, in the process engaging with product managers to understand their needs
  • Manipulate and transform data to drive product insight and advice product roadmap development, including identifying successes and flagging potential issues 
  • Synthesize other data sources, including customer research, competitor analysis and market performance to augment analysis and quality of recommendations
  • Contribute to the development of product pricing models, business cases and forecasting
  • Conduct market and business analysis to support product strategy and product decisions 
  • Present product metrics and insight to product managers on a regular basis, and management periodically 
  • Guide product managers how to self source analytics and help them facilitate their data needs
  • Work with Product Managers, Engineering and the Business Intelligence team to ensure that data needs are considered during product development and guide decisions related to data

 

What you will bring:

  • Experience of working with complex, high volume, multi-dimensional products
  • Experience working with large datasets from multiple services and sources
  • Experience with Tableau or similar (Qlik, PowerBI), with experience creating dashboards for other users
  • Experience with using SQL and advanced SQL techniques
  • Excellent data and business analysis abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to bring out insights and link data to business outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • Ability and willingness to:

What is required for application:

  • 5+ years of experience in a data analytics, reporting or similar position
  • Track record of success in producing high quality analytics
  • Bachelor degree with honors in Information Systems, Data Science, BI, Computer Science or an equivalent.
