The Product Management team applies technical, project management, creative design and excellent collaboration skills to design, develop and manage products from definition and planning through production, release and end of life. We strive to understand customer needs and create game changing technology and product innovations. The Portfolio Management Process Lead will develop and execute a Portfolio Management process across all major Product lines - Communication APIs, Unified Communications, Contact Centers - ensuring that Vonage resources are coordinated in the most effective manner in growing our business.  

 

What you will do

 Portfolio Process Management:

  •  Evaluate and implement Portfolio Management processes, iterate with stakeholders to improve the process over time
  • Align and integrate the Portfolio Management processes with Enterprise Agile transformational initiatives and tools as required
  • Drive effective cross-company education and communications on the Portfolio Management process and current priorities
  • Manage a quarterly Intake process working closely with senior business operations leads, product, engineering and IT leads
  • Applying your business acumen, work with project submitters to refine their submissions to clearly frame their business value 
  • Execute and manage on a day to day basis the Portfolio Management processes

 Product Operations Initiatives

  • Support organizational alignment initiatives including annual budget planning, OKR definition and tracking, staffing planning


What you will Bring 

  •  Experience of defining and managing Enterprise portfolio management processes - preferably for a SaaS Business - across product, engineering and IT groups
  • Experience of Enterprise Agile transformations and expert level knowledge of supporting tools (Jira, Rally, Align etc.)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the product development lifecycle and the roles of product managers, development managers and business stakeholders
  • Business acumen including experience with financial models for business cases, budgets and P&L management
  • Solid program management skills
  • Ability to:
    • Be a highly productive individual contributor - this role requires a “hands-on approach” in developing, delivering and supporting process work-products 
    • Demonstrate an open-minded and pragmatic approach to effectively partner on solutions with stakeholders to address their pain points
    • Evangelize portfolio process solutions for complex process and organizational needs and iterate to gain alignment with key stakeholders
    • Articulate portfolio investment criteria to ensure only the most valuable projects are included in the review
    • Drive portfolio decision making with senior product, engineering and management staff
    • Work across all phases of the product development lifecycle in an Agile environment 

 

What is required for application

 Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field. 
  • 7+ years’ experience in product or portfolio management in a high technology setting
  • Expert-level knowledge of tools supporting Enterprise Agile (Jira, Rally, Align etc.)
