The Product Manager / Product Owner is responsible for leading the business success of Vonage Business Cloud (VBC). The Product Manager is tasked with overseeing the total lifecycle of the product and is responsible for understanding markets, defining products, working with development to deliver the products, solutions and developing partnerships/alliances. The ideal candidate needs to have a great understanding of UX and UI best practices to deliver outstanding customer solutions. This role will focus on customer and partner facing tools including self-service tools, reporting, setup and ongoing configuration as well as support of the Vonage Business Cloud (VBC) product. The candidate will also work with marketing to market the products and maintaining the products through their lifecycle. The Product Manager is responsible for providing leadership and guidance for the cross-functional organizational teams to ensure synergy in their activities. The Product Manager is active within each functional organization to ensure good communication and is an interface to manage relationships with customers and partners.

What you will be doing

  • Identifying product gaps and differentiation opportunities to enhance Vonage Business Cloud
  • Finding and implementing enhancements to drive greater adoption of self-service tools
  • Managing the complete life cycle of products/enhancements from concept to retirement
  • Developing and implementing strategies to maximize the product line profit and revenue
  • Developing detailed product requirements for new product development and negotiate feature content with various organizations, including engineering, operations and marketing
  • Working with Agile Teams, create stories and manage the team’s sprints
  • Supporting the Sales Team in pre-sale and post sales activities
  • Working closely with key user groups and customer segments to understand their needs, devise
    workable solutions and help drive initial implementation

What is required for application

  • Experience with self-service tools including e-commerce, system setup and on-boarding
  • Web and mobile product experience
  • Experience with business systems and sales processes
  • An understanding of software development, APIs and understand how software/technology works
  • Experience with digital marketing, channel and affiliates
  • Requires some experience in marketing of technology products to consumers and businesses. Experience with IP Phone, soft phone, address book/contact center, telecommunications or internet products desirable
  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Thorough understanding of UX and UI best practices
  • Requires a high level of personal initiative, integrity and leadership
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimal travel (2-4 weeks a year)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.  MBA is desirable
