As a software engineer, you will develop Volant’s proprietary trading system using the latest technologies. Your work will support ultra low-latency trading and sophisticated risk-management, and provide the data and systems to underpin our trading research.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement core libraries for a high-frequency trading platform
- Improve the speed and scalability of our trading platform
- Develop systems and tools to access historical data for analysis and trading simulations
- Implement, integrate, and test trading applications
Qualifications
Solid understanding of algorithms, computer networks, architecture, and operating systems
Excellent C or C++ development skills. Ideally on Linux systems.
Proficiency in some scripting languages (e.g. Python, shell, etc.)
At least 3 years professional software development experience
Demonstrable interest in keeping up to date with technology.
Strong background in at least one of the following:
- Mathematics and statistics
- Data science
- Kernel hacking
- Networking and distributed computing
- Derivatives automated-trading systems
