Your Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to oversee the development of our company-owned farms financials and analytics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and communicating Accelerator Farms performance within the team and organization. This role requires strong communication skills, extensive financial and accounting knowledge, the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, and the willingness to learn the farming process.
What You'll Do:
- Create and manage KPIs to manage Accelerator Farms performance and results of various on-farm initiatives
- Understand and report out all financial performance associated with the Accelerator Farms business unit
- Analyze financial and farm data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Utilize PowerBI to create data visualization to be able to manage the farm level and business unit performance
- Budget, forecast, and create variance analysis for Accelerator Farms
- Communicate and collaborate with corporate finance and accounting teams to ensure proper compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards
- Act as a liaison between Accelerator Farms and the finance and accounting teams
- Communicate performance internally within the Accelerator Farms team and to the broader Vital Farms organization
- Provide feedback to Accelerator Farms team to identify bright spots to replicate and areas of improvement
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelors in accounting, finance, or relevant field
- 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or business analytics
- Ideally located within commutable distance to all locations that barns are being built in Southern Indiana. Expected to travel to farms monthly.
- Ability to travel 20-25% to farm locations, team meetings, company offsites, employee onboarding trips and other business needs
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Display excellent computer skills in MS Office programs of Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; and an ability and desire to learn new applications.
- Experience in Power BI or similar data visualization platform
- Proficiency with ERP systems and analytic tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
