What We Need:

Visual Concepts Blue Shift Studio, based in Boise Idaho and Parksville Canada is seeking Software Engineers to join and grow with our team. We are especially looking for recent graduates that are highly motivated, dedicated and have a passion for technology and games. What You Will Do:

  • Join a team of passionate engineers that research, develop and implement new rendering technologies
  • Assist with identifying and resolving issues in the rendering and data build pipelines
  • Work in collaboration with engineering, art and design teams to enhance NBA2K
  • Participate in system-wide upgrade initiatives to keep our rendering tech current
  • Produce code that is clean, efficient, well-documented, and conforms to our coding standards

 

Who Will Be a Great Fit:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science
  • High proficiency in C/C++ and data structures
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming, graphics engines and source control systems
  • Strong math background
  • Able to diagnose and solve problems quickly and independently
  • Ability to learn and master complicated code systems
  • Write clean, bug-free, well-documented and efficient code
  • Experience in console development as an engineer is a solid plus
  • Love for videogames (not just ours!)
