Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition & People Operations, we are looking for someone excited about elevating our current practices, being a trusted advisor, and supporting special projects. This role will support the management of our people systems, processes and program management including internal mobility, HR technology, and day-to-day HR services. Touching every aspect of the employee experience, you’ll work with a talented team to drive the integrated delivery and scalability of our HR programs and services.

This role will be based at our Vancouver HQ conveniently located in Yaletown (< 5min to Expo & Canada Skytrain lines). We have a hybrid work environment, Tues - Thurs in-office and Mon / Fri flexible, WFH or Office based.

What you’ll be doing…

Operational Support:

  • Facilitate daily operational processes and projects related to people operations, ensuring smooth functionality of HR technology, policies, and practices.
  • Act as the go-to expert on policies and practices for the countries we operate in, ensuring compliance and staying up to date with the latest regulations and standards.

Policy and Compliance Management:

  • Conduct research on international HR policies and practices, helping the company stay compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Support Visier’s annual policy review process to ensure alignment with legal requirements and best practices.

Vendor and Partner Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with global co-employers (PEOs), professional services vendors, external legal counsel, and internal finance & payroll teams to manage HR operations efficiently.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and execution of HR processes.

Employee Lifecycle Management:

  • Lead and coordinate various talent projects and initiatives, including annual merit cycles, performance reviews, engagement surveys, and benefits renewals.
  • Work closely with the HR Administrator to oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding new employees to managing internal movements and coordinating the exit process.

What you’ll bring to the table…

  • Knowledge of employment practices in Canada and at least one other country - United States, UK, Germany, Singapore, Australia
  • A process improvement mindset that can connect ‘how’ data is collected during the employee lifecycle with modern people analytics.
  • A point of view on what a good, integrated employee experience looks like, and the will to move from vision to action.
  • A growth mindset and the agility to adapt quickly to changes. 
  • Exposure to integrated HR systems (Workday advantageous)
  • A structured and detailed approach to your work. You have experience with process mapping, you know how to build project plans, and ask the right questions of stakeholders to understand what’s most important.
  • Demonstrated history of being flexible and moving quickly - Your ability to provide and receive candid feedback in real-time, resilience, and hyper-organization ensure you can pivot quickly while maintaining the trust of your peers.

The base pay range for this position in Vancouver is $70k - 85k + bonus

The compensation offered will be determined by factors such as relevant qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. Many of our positions are eligible for additional types of compensation (e.g., commission plans, bonus, etc.) which our Talent Acquisition team will share with you if you interview for the role.
