The Creative Director will lead all creative expressions for the Vise brand - from web, video, ads to events. You think most of the work other brands put out there is crap. And so you’ve been waiting your entire career for a blank canvas to create an iconic brand. You get chills about storytelling and delivering elegant, meaningful moments. You can take the complex and simplify it in a way that deeply reverberates and resonates. You see and understand people — and when they experience your work, they feel seen and understood.

Our office is located in One World Trade in NYC. We support flexible remote and hybrid work arrangements. Our office is open with strict contact tracing and protocols for anyone who chooses to go in. In line with forthcoming local and federal mandates, we require all employees be fully vaccinated, per CDC guidelines, before engaging in in-person work or business related activities. We continue to monitor and follow state and federal Covid-19 guidelines to ensure the safety of our employees and communities.

What you will own:

  • Build and inspire a team of designers, copywriters, and videographers
  • Develop and oversee the creative direction of brand and performance campaigns
  • Evolve the visual language to create a cohesive and iconic brand that is instantly recognizable
  • Develop original concepts through multiple touchpoints — print, OOH, digital, web, social, motion
  • Sketch, ideate, and generate new concepts based on stakeholder feedback and customer research
  • Be an expert in the business strategy, and advise others on how to design experiences for that strategy

What you bring on day one:

  • 10+ years in a creative leadership role with a combination of in-house and agency experience
  • Have a pulse on digital and cultural trends
  • Experience recruiting, retaining, and leading teams
  • Ability to lead editorial and strategy sessions during the entire design process — from ideation to results
  • Strong desire to work cross-functionally and nurture diverse perspectives
  • Experience across a full range of brand expressions (motion, visual, experiential, etc.) with an emphasis on a love for storytelling through copywriting
