THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for an experienced recruiter to take us where we need to be to support our exponential growth. We are seeking an organized, task oriented, upbeat individual to support and manage our Photography Growth Team and “own” our ! The ideal candidate will have management experience, excellent communication skills, the ability to have difficult conversations, be able to manage their time effectively, learn new systems quickly, and photography experience is a plus.  

 

30-SECOND ELEVATOR PITCH FOR THE POSITION

The Photography Growth Manager [aka Recruiting Manager] manages the Photography Growth Team and the recruitment and onboarding of our Contract National Photography Partners to ensure that we have great partnerships in the field to meet the company’s current and future volume needs. 

 

THE DAY TO DAY

General Responsibilities: 

  • Build the company’s professional network through relationships with HR professionals, colleges and other partners
  • Recommend ways to improve our company brand to potential National Photography Partners
  • Review recruitment software and make suggestions for improvements and streamlining
  • Stay up-to-date on labor legislation and inform recruiters and managers about changes in regulations
  • Seeking out and acting on feedback from the Photography Management Team to ensure the Photography Partners that we are bringing in are effective 
  • Work with other teams in the company to hire for new market and new product launches by Launch Date
  • Manage market expansion requests from clients and sales representatives for all markets 
  • Manage product activation and deactivation projects
  • Ensure Department heads and Photography Management Team are informed of product activation and deactivation 
  • Ensure all Photography Growth Team tasks and procedures are documented and the documentation is up to date
  • Advise other Manager, Directors and the Executive Team on best practices with recruiting and onboarding of talent 
  • Manages multiple contractor networks across markets to meet the needs of sales and our existing partnerships

Direct Report Management Responsibilities: 

  • Recruit, Onboard, Train, Cultivate, Manage and Grow the team members on the Photography Growth Team as well as the team overall
  • Create and manage a training program for the roles within the Photography Growth team and be diligent in monitoring its effectiveness and improve it when needed
  • Advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques and help coach them when needed to ensure they are very effective in their role

Recruiting Procedures and Pipeline: 

Own all recruiting procedures and tasks: 

  • Maintain and update current recruiting procedures and tasks
    • Design new recruiting procedures (e.g. job application and onboarding processes) to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
    • Search for and implement new sourcing methods to find top notch Photographer Partners and ensure the ROI for the source makes sense within the recruiting budget
    • Proactively always be on the quest to find the most effective advertising options for each market
    • Ensure that all onboarding tasks are completed by their due date either directly or by inspecting what you expect from the Photography Growth Team Members

Contractor Onboarding: 

  • Ensure photographers are held accountable to the onboarding timeline 
  • Conduct photographer outreach to recruit photographers for new products

Manage all Recruiting Metrics for the Photography Growth Team: 

  • Keep track of recruiting metrics to ensure they are at baseline or above
  • Coordinate with department Director and VP of Operations to forecast future hiring needs to meet Photographer and product availability in all markets 

 

REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of professional recruiting experience, with at least two years in a supervisory role having direct reports

 

ATTRIBUTES THAT WILL GET YOU FAR IN THIS ROLE AND THE COMPANY:

  • Proven work experience as a Recruiting Manager, Recruitment Consultant or Recruiting Coordinator
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR databases
  • Knowledge of labor and Contractor Laws
  • Exceptional work ethic and problem solving skills
  • Able to work well independently and in a fast paced team
  • Experience managing direct reports and helping to grow their skill set
  • Experience with (phone and in-person) interviews, candidate screening and evaluation
  • Familiarity with social media and other professional networks
  • Solutions oriented
  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to make sound decisions quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to understand the role of the Photographer Partners and advocate for them while also balancing the company’s needs and goals
  • Able to act with urgency 
  • Able to experiment with out of the box ideas when needed to overcome challenges
  • Love of photography and/or real estate a plus!
