Role Description

Our Financial Accountant serves an integral function within the operation of our global accounting and finance functions. They work closely with senior accountants to prepare financial statements and manage daily accounting and financial tasks. Ideal candidate should be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and be detail-oriented.

Job Description

  • Work closely with the senior accountants on month-end and year-end closing process
  • Prepare and analyze accounting transactions across various financial items, including financial instruments, trading revenue, expenses, fixed assets, etc.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries, and preform reconciliations on trading positions, general accruals and other assets
  • Prepare and maintain expense analysis, investigate variances
  • Assist in completing audits and preparing periodic internal and external reports
  • Assist with other accounting ad-hoc requests and projects

Job Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (or in the process of obtaining the license) preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience within the financial services sector
  • Prior experience at public accounting firms preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
