Our Director, ASO Partnerships for health plan growth will be the connection point and collaborator between  Health Plan Clients, Health Plan Sales Teams, and internal Virta stakeholders. The role experiences a wide variety of tasks and collaboration with internal Virta Stakeholders; Customer Success, Employer Sales, Health Plan Sales, Sales Enablement, and Marketing. Given Virta’s clinical rigor and outcomes story, this role allows for an education interface with our key external health plan clients to pull in more ASO Groups and additional lines of business for Virta.

Responsibilities

As the Director, ASO Partnerships for Virta you will be responsible for building relationships with and selling through our health plan partnerships to influence their customer base, ultimately adding more clients and patients to Virta.  You will have the opportunity to help build our commercialization efforts and capitalize on the national buy-in Virta is receiving for our industry-changing and life-improving work with diabetes reversal.  More specifically:

  • Provide training, sales enablement, and specific marketing material for Health Plan clients to have their sales teams sell Virta to groups
  • Align with Health Plan on a sales strategy and collaboration between our sales teams to maximize co-selling opportunities to groups
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Virta to our key Health Plan contacts for education, content, marketing, legal, and Q/A
  • Maintain Health Plan ASO Partnership relationships and keep Health Plan updated on the latest with Virta by providing latest news/assets/marketing best practices
  • Present the Virta value proposition to key Health Plan sales teams  on a frequent basis
  • Further promote Virta as an innovative online diabetes reversal solution
  • Work closely with Virta team members to provide client/prospect feedback and potential product or service expansions to better meet the needs of our partners
  • Performance Management - present regular performance benchmarks with ASO group to course correct (improve communications access), demonstrate success (retention/performance guarantees) and improve expansion

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:

  • Prioritize current ASO landscape and map out strategy plan
  • Collaborate on a 2022 strategic plan for with cross functional teams - Customer Success, Marketing, Research, Legal
  • Begin executing the business plan for success by engaging with ASO partners and starting to fill gaps and enable client pull through.

Must-Haves

  • Understanding of indirect selling through partnerships
  • 5+ years experience working on the health plan or vendor side
  • 2+ years experience in healthcare or healthcare-related field 
  • Quantifiable history of hitting personal sales targets
  • Ability to present clearly to key decision makers
  • Consultative selling experience, including collaboration with an indirect sales team
  • Ability to proactively manage pipeline and willingness to leverage Salesforce in a strategic data-driven approach
  • Demonstrated collaboration with internal colleagues (marketing, product, ops, etc.) to support sales momentum
  • A passion for improving the health of millions of people with the ability to thrive in a mature startup environment

Nice-to-Haves

  • Knowledge of Type 2 diabetes and of potential competitors
  • Knowledge of other point solutions beyond diabetes
