Virta is the first company with a clinically-proven treatment to safely and sustainably reverse type-2 diabetes without the use of medications or surgery. Our innovations in nutritional biochemistry, data science and digital tools combined with our clinical expertise are shifting the diabetes treatment paradigm from management to reversal. Virta is available to 100% of the U.S population, and we are expanding our capabilities to bring our groundbreaking online type 2 diabetes reversal treatment to even more patients. As Virta’s Supply Chain Manager, you will lead the strategy and execution of  Virta’s physical touchpoints with applicants and patients. You will work internally with our product, design, clinical operations, business operations, and finance teams to create amazing experiences for our patients . You will define and measure supply chain KPIs, build relationships with our partners, and ensure our medical supplies are reaching patients quickly. You will define and build a supply chain ecosystem that plays a key role in our acquisition funnel and to improve patient outcomes. A successful person in this role will love to work cross functionally to solve operational problems and systematically put together scalable solutions.  


  • Develop and execute on the future state of Virta’s supply chain
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Working across key internal and external teams, including:
    • Business Operations & Finance - to negotiate supply chain costs down, and manage cash flow so that we can scale to more patients!
    • External vendors / suppliers - to develop relationships that will allow us to be on the cutting edge of new transformative technology that drive patient outcomes, and to leverage component suppliers, 3PL, and other vendor networks to drive patient acquisition while managing supply chain cost and speed
    • Product Development & Design - to align how we are delivering the Virta experience through physical touchpoints
    • Clinical team - to deliver best-in-class medical supplies to our patients that will allow our clinicians to respond to real-time biomarker data
    • Improve Patient Engagement
    • Develop strategy on physical goods touchpoints that will delight our patients, and create more “stickiness” in the Virta Treatment experience
  • Help Virta Scale Operationally
    • Build data driven systems and processes to help provide transformative outcomes as we scale
  • Iterate on and own the Sales and Operations demand planning process

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:

  • Develop supply chain strategy 
    • Partner with product teams to define Virta’s physical goods and supplier partnership strategy, and translate into a supply chain vision
    • Put together an operational plan to execute on the supply chain vision
  • Evaluate opportunities to improve the patient experience with physical goods touchpoints
  • Build relationships with vendors and work with them to maintain and improve our supply impact on patient outcomes
  • Identify and deliver improvements in supply chain costs, efficiency, and quality
  • Define KPIs and build out scalable reporting function
    • Work with vendors to identify and exchange relevant data
    • Engage product and engineering teams to build automated data ingestion for reporting needs
