This leader will be responsible for enabling the growth of the business by creating and fostering an environment where we attract, develop and retain top talent and our employees can do their best work.   • Be the leader of Virta’s People team and lead and enhance a best in class and innovative People function
  • You will set our people strategy and growth roadmap encompassing the total employee lifecycle across our entire employee population

  • You will be responsible for culture, diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, people analytics, learning and development, performance management, compliance, compensation and benefits, internal administration (and facilities if you want!) at Virta
  • You'll look for ways to have an impact on each employee and continuously search for new ways to grow our teams both expertly and personally
  • You'll be a member of our Senior Management Team and regularly interacting with the Team , our CEO and Board of Directors
  • You'll oversee the strategic People partnerships at all levels, from our individual contributor level to executive leadership
  • You'll create open and genuine approaches to performance management and knowledge sharing
  • You'll identify and propose meaningful process and structural improvements for the People team


  • You have 10+ years of applicable People & Culture / Human Resources experience in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
  • Exceptionally high EQ and ability to manage and organize teams and people
  • You have a proven track record of setting a vision and strategy for an HR function or group
  • Experience managing multiple HR functions and large teams
  • You have experience in establishing operational excellence and driving change management across an organization
  • You believe that an employee’s satisfaction and experience with a company is comprised of thousands (if not millions) of touchpoints, each of which can be tracked and improved upon  
  • You believe that analytics should help guide and inform decision making
  • You believe that diversity of background and experience brings out the best in a team
  • You are a transformational leader, one who inspires ideas, encourages testing & learning, takes thoughtful risks, and calibrates effectively
  • You are flexible yet thoughtful in your strategic decision making, striking the right balance between advocating for our business and our employees
  • You have a BS or BA degree in either business, psychology, or a related discipline
  • Possessing an advanced degree is preferred

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:

  • Outline the entire employee experience and define the relevant touchpoints
  • Instrument those touchpoints as needed to provide the data necessary to evaluate our success
  • Take steps to design improvements to employee experience
  • Complete a learning and development needs assessment and provide near term and medium term L&D roadmap along with the delivery of its first component
  • Evaluate our compensation and benefits philosophy and strategy and identify areas for improvement and investment
  • Assess our internal culture and offer potential avenues for reinforcement and improvement
  • Own our existing PeopleOps 2-year strategy roadmap and identify areas for improvement and investment
  • Be an active listener and identify strategic initiatives to help improve our already fantastic culture
  • Partner with the Senior Management Team on executive team (and leadership team) alignment and team development including offsites
