Position Overview:

The Account Manager, Influencer Marketing works directly with senior team members to flawlessly execute the strategy built to meet client goals. They are stewards of the VN process and proactively manage the client file alongside other team members. They display exceptional time management and organizational skills and thrive on adaptability, assignments, and tight deadlines. The Account Manager is responsible for successful project delivery and oversees Account Coordinators and Account Executives from project initiation to successful campaign execution and delivery. 

Passionate about creative influencer strategies and knowledgeable about both social and paid engagement across tiers of influencers, this role is expected to drive client programming from start to finish. This includes detailed tactical timelines and plans, and taking an analytical approach to measuring success. The Account Manager will also focus on developing their strategic planning skills in assisting the Account Director or Sr. Account Directors. 

As an Account Manager, you’re expected to jump in at every level, from influencer contract negotiations to tough client conversations. You have a deep understanding of influencers across segments and channels, staying on top of disclosure guidelines, with a clear understanding of best practices for demonstrating the impact of an influencer program. 

This position is client-facing and should display confidence when dealing with clients. At this level, you have superior social and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently, while also knowing to ‘manage up’. You will be fostering the career growth, management skills and expertise for the next generation of data-driven social specialists focused in the influencer realm. 

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of influencer and social media marketing and keeps up to date with current trends
  • Develop a clear understanding of clients goals and objectives and can translate that into actionable tasks and manage the outcome.
  • Demonstrate tactical proficiency in developing influencer recommendations, content direction, content scheduling, ongoing tracking and reporting on results.
  • Execute and oversee strategies including - influencer marketing, content/social strategy, community management etc. 
  • Develop content overview documents for influencers outlining program details and content expectations with oversight from senior team.
  • Exhibit effective project management working closely with team to prepare status reports for client
  • Be a master of process and care about the minutiae of how work is done to ensure efficiencies and practicalities.
  • Effectively work within account budget parameters and assist with budget management
  • Participate in presentation process including research, audits and proposal development
  • Manage team development and growth to meet the demands and expectations of clients
  • Oversee your teams influencer marketing campaigns through VN’s proprietary platform

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience in advertising services, influencer marketing, social media etc.
  • Experience working as a part of an IAT (inter-agency team).
  • Experience in developing and executing successful client programs.
  • Experience working on campaigns with total revenue exceeding $1M. 
  • Direct experience with social media tools and platforms
  • Passion and understanding for influencer marketing
  • Experience with effectively delegating and/or executing many tactical assignments and accurately judging and reviewing the work of junior staff. 
  • Proactive and unafraid to manage up.
