We are looking for an award-winning Art Director (consumer tech) to provide creative leadership and art direction in collaboration with the copywriting and full creative team(s). In this role, you will help to develop outstanding, social-first, influencer marketing creative ideas for client campaigns and guide the end-to-end creative process from conceptualization through production. You are passionate and knowledgeable about emerging tech - specifically how it can infuse into consumer use cases across their lifestyle. You are an avid enthusiast for gaming and its innovative intersection with virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR). You love to bring ideas to life with authenticity, insight, and enthusiasm. The ideal candidate thrives on developing strategic creative ideas and concepts that are forward-thinking and innovative- from feed-interrupting design and art direction to one-of-a-kind experiences and immersions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a range of integrated creative campaigns and solutions for emerging tech and gaming experiences across a diversity of target audiences
- Synthesize relevant research, best practices, trending topics and intuition to produce creative concepts that align with a brand’s KPI’s
- Collaborate closely with ACD and Copywriter partner- in addition to the broader Creative team Strategy teams to bring excellence and efficacy to creative output
- Comfortably vary design, style, and other characteristics asked by our clients and brands
- Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audience
- Take work from concept to final execution within deadlines
- Lead creative presentations to clients/ team members and communicate big ideas in a way that sells them to our clients
- Manage and delegate responsibilities to other designers and provide directions
- Leverage evolving knowledge of trends in emerging tech and gaming, to drive innovation
- Continually raise the bar on creativity that connects and drives action
- Support with full-service content productions (when necessary).
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years of art direction or lead design experience in a fast-paced environment making social first content
- Example of conceptual skills in portfolio
- Consistency of design aesthetic.
- Examples of digital-first thinking.
- A love of internet culture and creativity in the space
- Stays on top of all trends, competitive work, and maintain best practices
- Continually raise the bar on creativity that connects and drives action
- Experience in influencer lead campaigns a plus
- Incorporate feedback and take/give direction well
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to excellence
- Ability to anticipate issues and communicate with diplomacy
- Has managed or lead a project from start to finish with junior employees
- Team player with strong communication and presentation skills
- Relevant education a must
- Experience with clients across multiple industries is an asset.
- Proficient use of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
