Vimeo’s video data team is looking for engineers to help us make data-driven product decisions. We provide insight into how people interact with Vimeo’s video stack, from upload to play. Using the systems we create, Vimeo engineers can build new features and improve current features with confidence.
What you'll do:
Build systems to monitor and report on the quality and speed of video uploads, transcodes, delivery, and playback
Optimize video storage systems
Build anomaly detection and monitoring tools
Skills & knowledge you should possess:
1-2 years of experience building and designing software
Good communication skills (written and verbal)
Python/Go programming skills
BS or MS in a Computer Science related field, or equivalent technical experience
Java programming skills
Interest or experience with machine learning and/or statistics
Strong portfolio or public code (Github, Bitbucket, etc.)
Streaming video and audio
Google Cloud or AWS experience
