We are looking for an experienced financial analyst to support Vimeo’s FP&A efforts. The right person will have a strong analytical background with equal parts technical and communication skills. They will have previously worked in Finance Analytics with a focus on data-informed results.
What you'll do:
- Drive and lead strategic, cross-functional initiatives in order to enable data standardization, increase data consumption and boost data-driven decision making.
- Analyze financial data (such as cohort and retention analyses) and provide forecast support for our FP&A team.
- Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Build and maintain user-friendly and informative dashboards, reports, and presentations in order to enable day-to-day and strategic data-driven decision making.
- Foster a relationship of trust and cooperation with the stakeholders, creating an atmosphere of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Skills and knowledge you should possess:
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and solving business challenges.
- A sense of ownership - capable of independently initiating and driving projects from beginning to end.
- Best analytical mind in town - Proficient in interpreting complex datasets, extracting valuable insights for informed decision-making. Skilled in identifying patterns and translating business questions into effective analytical solutions. Demonstrates a problem-solving mindset and stays current with evolving data analysis methodologies.
- Extensive SQL experience working with large datasets
- Previous experience with Python and automation - preferred
- Experience in documentation and version control via Github - preferred
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, keyboard shortcuts, etc.)
- Experience building dashboards in Tableau or similar data visualization suites
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Economics, Statistics or Computer Science) and 4+ years of experience in a data analytics role (preferably in a SaaS business.)
- Comfortable communicating with senior executives
- A team player who enjoys working cross functionally
- You truly believe that "getting it right" is just as important as "getting it done"
Targeted Base Salary Range: $81,900 to $125,500
The base salary range listed above is for candidates located in the U.S., including the New York City metro area.
