We're looking for a Sales Development Representative who will nurture prospective partners for the VHX team, building trust and rapport that result in qualified opportunities. The Sales Development Representative is the first point of contact between prospective partners and VHX, and will be responsible for generating and qualifying new prospective partnerships for the business team. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for determining potential opportunities for new business, and can rapidly qualify, convert, and assign these opportunities. This role will be a part of a new team that will build the process of expanding new business for VHX.
In this role, you will:
- Hunt for new business, researching companies and individuals that meet criteria for prospective partnership with VHX
- Develop ideal customer profiles for outbound prospecting
- Qualify inbound inquiries
- Build new methods for attracting partners
- Take initiative to help marketing convert their efforts into leads for the business development team
- Work to meet and exceed monthly goals defined to maximize deal flow with outbound emails, calls, setting up meetings, etc.
What we’re expecting:
- Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years previous work experience in demand development, lead generation, or sales
- Demonstrated interest in the entertainment, online video or technology industries with a desire to contribute to the future entertainment landscape
- Ability to build relationships with potential customers, understand their environment, and introduce new concepts to solve problems
- Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders, fully understand technology platform capabilities, and VHX’s ability to solve partner needs
- Outstanding phone, prospecting, sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to maximize efficiency
- Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software
- Strong aptitude for learning new systems and software
- Represent the company and our products with a high degree of professionalism
- You are cool as a cucumber under pressure
