JOB FUNCTION

Viking is looking for a client-service and process-oriented Investor Services Analyst to join the Investor Services Team. The position is a "hands-on" role with operational responsibility for investor servicing including transactions, AML, cash monitoring, data management, events, and fund communications. The Investor Services Analyst will report to the Investor Services Manager. 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with Viking's investors and fund administrator to complete necessary documentation for transactions
  • Conducting capital flows analysis and preparing reports for legal filings
  • Disseminating fund communications to investors
  • Maintaining Viking’s customer relationship management system to ensure accuracy of investor attribute and contact data
  • Facilitating completion of legal agreements for consultant, data aggregator and fund of fund relationships
  • Organizing both virtual and in-person investor events, overseeing all aspects from registration to post-event analysis
  • Collaborating with internal teams such as legal and information technology on projects

 

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A record of academic and professional excellence
  • At least one year of experience in investor relations or fund accounting servicing private equity and hedge funds
  • Experience with data entry: Proficient in handling large volumes of data across various systems with high accuracy. Familiar with data validation and quality control methods
  • Analytical skills: Proficiency in Excel and ability to conceptualize a question, leverage data, and drive to a conclusion
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize deliverables
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following traits: 

  • Client service focus: interest in solving complex investor questions paired with ability to work through challenging transactions
  • Effective communication: excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate thoughts well, both verbally and in writing
  • Analytical skills: ability to conceptualize a question and leverage data to drive to a conclusion
  • Intellectual honesty and sound judgement: ability to make decisions, even when faced with ambiguous or conflicting information
  • Strong relationship skills: the candidate must be team-oriented and motivated to work cross functionally with people of various experience levels
  • Attention to detail and organization: capacity to deal with high volumes of data and work in a structured way. A strong focus on process; the ability to multi-task and prioritize; and a willingness to take ownership of and be accountable for a variety of tasks.

The base salary range for this position in New York City is $80,000 to $120,000 In addition to base salary, Viking employees may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, 100% coverage of medical and dental premiums, and paid lunches. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be individually determined based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, and other qualifications.
