Senior Analyst, FP&A

 

Overview:

The Senior Analyst position will be a key member of the FP&A team playing an integral part in the planning, communication and execution of the company’s short and long-term financial strategies as well as overseeing SG&A and COGS drivers.

This position will grant exposure to and work closely with key business stakeholders across all lines of business and regions, as well as work with Treasury and Accounting teams to help identify and assess key drivers directly impacting the company’s performance. A successful candidate will create new and enhance existing models and analytical processes that will be influential in making actionable and informed decisions in planning for the company’s long-term outlook.

This position will require successful candidates to think and act both strategically and tactically. When necessary push back on Business and Department leaders to drive performance. Strong communication and presentation skills are a must, healthy balance of EQ and IQ, as well as the ability to think analytically, problem-solve and prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Interact with key business leaders at multiple levels to understand quarterly business drivers and variances
  • Help create monthly and quarterly earnings and Q&A materials, as well as conference presentations and various projects
  • Analyze SG&A and COGS trends and identify opportunities to eliminate cost
  • Create reporting materials highlighting key business metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Participate in meetings and calls with the Senior Finance team, the Executive team and investors to discuss the Company’s financial performance and strategy
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends and peer/competitor fundamentals, including financial and stock performance
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop the Company’s long-range plan and the annual budget process, along with monthly and quarterly budget updates
  • Work with Accounting and Treasury functions to forecast long term cashflow
  • Develop ad hoc business analysis supporting various financial and strategic initiatives
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in a finance/analytical role (prefer background in corporate finance, FP&A)
  • Excellent financial modeling skills with extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Superb communication skills
  • Expert in Excel and PowerPoint a must
  • Maintain accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced, high growth operating environment, managing time effectively to address high priority items in a timely manner
  • Aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving and strong interest in process improvements
  • High energy, positive, detail oriented with can do attitude
  • Strong knowledge of the online advertising and media industries a plus
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Exposure to media, internet and entertainment industry would be a plus
