The Vibrent Health team is looking for a Product Owner to join our growing team. This new team member will work with the Product Management team on reusable portal components to provide new and improved user experiences for programs using the Vibrent Research Platform. This cloud-based enterprise B2B system enables research and clinical professionals throughout the U.S. to design and manage large research projects and clinical trials for large numbers of participants that contribute through web and mobile applications. This position works hand-in-hand with product managers, UX designers, and engineering teams to define reusable user-facing product components while also focusing on configuration efficiency and overall product stability and performance. This position reports to the Director of Product.  

Responsibilities and Duties  

In this role, you will work to enable new program experiences by creating new and enhancing existing reusable product components. This team member will help define core product capabilities to enable new and improved program experiences using templatized styles and configurable, shared workflows. The Product Owner will work to improve the overall performance, stability, and scalability of the platform.   

The ideal candidate should have a sound understanding of multi-tenant, cloud-based admin tools and user experience design considerations as well as possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills.  

  • Work with the product and program teams to analyze requested features and overall product improvements. 
  • Work with the UX design team to create new UX designs to meet program and product goals.  
  • Justify proposed changes with cost/benefit driven recommendations. 
  • Review and assess customer requirements.   
  • Analyze customer data needs and develop complete product solutions to address those needs.   
  • Define product requirements as user stories.   
  • Assess system performance and scalability needs. 
  • Chart a roadmap and delivery timelines for engineering capability improvements for scalability and performance.   
  • Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.  
  • Work with development scrum teams as a Product Owner.  
  • Create work products as needed including requirements, system documentation, and user guides.  
  • Service as a liaison with the configuration concerning all configuration capabilities of the platform.  
  • Analyze root causes of production and data issues.  

 Qualifications and Skills  

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a product or engineering role  
  • Experience using multi-tenant, cloud based back-end configuration tools  
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence/ Wiki or similar ticking systems  
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.  
  • An engineering background is a strong plus  
  • Excellent problem-solving aptitude.  
  • Highly organized and a strong communicator (written and verbal).  
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities.  
  • Ability to manage projects and collaborate with team members across multi-functional teams.   
  • Demonstrated knowledge of release management processes and customer acceptance testing.  
  • Flexibility to adjust to a diverse work environment and the ability to contribute to a growing team.    
  • Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills.  
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
