Would you like to be part of building the most sought-after streaming service in the Nordics? Do you have a burning interest for test automation? Great, we might have a challenge for you! We are currently looking for a QA Engineer to join our Android team in Stockholm. If this sounds like you - go ahead and apply!
In the role as Android QA Developer you will be a member of the Viaplay Android team, whose mission is to maintain and develop the Android app with new features, keeping it best-in-class and serving as a main entry point to Viaplay.
We are successful in delivering code autonomously, but more automated test cases and improved test strategies are crucial to maintain and expand our platform, delivering a first class streaming experience to our customers. You will be the owner of this from a QA perspective, working closely together with the whole team when it comes to writing tests as well as improving processes, test setups, monitoring and other tooling. As product requirements are defined closely with the Product Owner, Designer, Product Managers and stakeholders across the organization, you will be the one closing the loop by defining scenarios for testability prior to development and ensuring that quality is maintained as new features are developed and released.
The challenge ahead
Viaplay is driving the next generation of video consumption. You will get the opportunity to influence the TV landscape of tomorrow, work within an expanding organization that strives for excellence by taking responsibility and pitch in when needed as a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team. The technical teams are prestigeless, problem solving oriented and flexible. Viaplay takes pride in being an inventive company and uses forefront technology and test driven development. Continuous integration and regular deliveries is central in the deployment process. We work in an agile environment and use Jira, Confluence and Stash (with Git) to support our needs. We feel our culture is modern with a relaxed atmosphere where we want everyone to feel at home and we hope that you will too.
What we are looking for
You should have a core interest in Android development and keen to push forward internal development by sharing knowledge and keeping on top of the latest technologies. You are currently working either as Android Developer or with Test Automation within a team of mobile developers, preferably at a product company.
