As a Senior Devops Engineer at Via, you’ll join our R&D center in TLV. You’ll be part of a team of developers and devops engineers, directly contributing to our product by using cutting-edge technologies. You’ll take a critical part in our mission to shape the future of transportation, affecting tens of thousands of riders daily worldwide.
The Infrastructure Team is a cross-functional group dedicated to transforming software development efficiency and quality across the company. This team designs cloud infrastructure and CI/CD standards and methodologies, while also building and managing core infrastructure components and tools that serve all development teams at Via. Beyond infrastructure, the team enhances developer experience and accelerates delivery by implementing unified CI/CD solutions that streamline and standardize the development lifecycle at Via.
What You’ll Do:
- Define infrastructure standards for dev teams
- Design, implement and develop tools for controlling infrastructure of micro services
- Build CI/CD automation and templates with GitLab
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the applications and architecture at Via
- Work in contact with other teams across the company to ensure smooth and documented changes to all environments
- Be a team player with a knack for utility
- Share your expertise with the team by putting your ego aside
- Make sure that you and everyone around you are growing towards an outstanding group of professionals who share the same passion
- Write your technical docs or implementation proposals, mentor and improve the overall performance of the service
- Bring ideas to the table, take ownership over their project timelines and deliverables and help us scale
Who You Are:
- BSc. Computer Science or similar.
- 3+ years experience in infrastructure Ops/DevOps
- 2+ years experience containers and Kubernetes
- 2+ years experience with GitLab, Jenkins, CI/CD, infrastructure as code
- 3+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development in a product development role (not scripting)
- Skilled in writing playbooks and modules for Ansible
- Experienced with declarative configuration management and provisioning tools like Terraform or Pulumi
- Good communication and logical thinking
- Fluent in English language
