As a Marketplace Associate, you’ll play an integral part in formulating and executing Via’s marketplace strategy, aimed at optimizing profitability while driving growth. You will collaborate with a top-notch, global multidisciplinary group of analysts, data scientists, engineers, as well as our finance and operations teams. You will be responsible for proactively identifying performance drivers and coming up and testing solutions across all markets where we operate.
Responsibilities and Duties
Identify and quantify profit opportunities and loss drivers across Via’s markets and products, with a focus on areas related to pricing, driver incentives, vehicle utilization and operational algorithms
Work across Via’s teams to design and build data products that enable smart, data driven decision making
Contribute to the development of new products and algorithms, both consumer facing and internal
Develop our global city-operating strategy and work closely with Via’s senior management
Have strong analytical skills; you’re able to understand complex problems, break them down and find solutions
Understand how to effectively synthesize an argument and communicate ideas
Able to own projects end-to-end and work independently, comfortable taking on significant responsibility
Possess the interpersonal skills to work effectively across multiple teams, geographies, and stakeholders
Bachelor's Degree from a top-tier university
1+ year of work experience, likely in consulting, product design or product analytics or a record of exceptional academic achievements
Extra points for skills in SQL, Python, Tableau, R, any other statistical analysis packages
