Summary: As Marketing Intelligence Associate, you’ll develop and implement a system to track innovation across all mobility verticals relevant to Via, monitor and analyze emerging trends, and identify opportunities to solve a wide variety of transportation problems using Via’s technology and operations expertise.
Responsibilities and Duties
Mobility is one of the most rapidly changing industries in the world; you’ll design and manage a comprehensive system, based on public sources, for capturing news about all relevant modes and technologies -- from microtransit to automated vehicles -- on a global basis.
Identify commercial opportunities for Via’s Partnerships and Business Development teams, both within industries that Via already operates as well as in new ones.
Use your knowledge of the mobility industry, and Via’s technology and business model, to generate original research supporting our business development and public policy objectives
Lead competitive procurements from beginning to end -- through evaluation, content creation, review, and submission.
Strong qualitative research skills: you know how to structure a complex information-gathering project, synthesize copious amounts of material from different sources, and distill key insights into well-written analysis.
An exceptional writer with an instinctive appreciation for tone and structure; your colleagues have told you that they enjoy reading your work (and maybe you’ve even won awards).
Familiarity with transit and/or the emerging mobility industry strongly preferred
MA or PhD in transportation planning, urban planning, or another discipline in the social sciences or humanities (ideally from a top tier graduate program)
