Principal Engineer

Due to major growth we are expanding our Engineering team in Poland and currently looking for a Principal Engineer to join the team.
As a Principal Engineer at VGW, you will tackle intricate and challenging problems, offering unique solutions that others might not envision. This role provides an opportunity to contribute significantly to a rapidly expanding company, navigating complex infrastructure and architectural challenges that influence the entire business landscape.

What you’ll love about our team
- Ownership and Empowerment: You’ll lead projects from concept to execution; design it, build it, run it.

Tech we use
Our typical tech stack includes AWS (ECP, AWS, Azure), Kubernetes for microservices, Kotlin, TypeScript, and Terraform.
What you bring
- Proven expertise in managing cloud-based infrastructure, especially on platforms like AWS, Azure, and ECP.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, focusing on the orchestration of microservices and managing containerised applications.
- Strong technical proficiency in back and front end architecture.
- Experience in deploying and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated testing environments, ideally with familiarity in GitHub Actions.
- Ability to lead and inspire engineering teams, offering mentorship and guidance while steering projects from inception to deployment and operation.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with a track record of leveraging new technologies and methodologies to drive innovation.
