This position will be our first dedicated DevOps Engineer.  You will build on our already solid engineering and data science practice by adding automation to our deployment, engineering , data science, Q/A, development process and owning operations. Our product is very data driven and you will work closely with the data science and engineering teams.  Our DevOps process is in its infancy so you'll have the opportunity to set the course on what tech and process we use.

  • 4+ years of professional DevOps experience
  • Experience in data engineering a big plus (Spark and other data pipeline technologies)
  • Ability to set up and maintain CI / CD systems
  • Familiarity with orchestration and containerization solutions (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Develop tools for application and performance monitoring
  • Expert knowledge in AWS resources including but not limited to VPC, subnets, security groups, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, RDS
  • Basic understanding of SQL and more importantly scaling and optimizing MySQL on RDS (replicas and clustering)
  • Can communicate clearly to developers as well as non-technical team members
  • Hunger for knowledge and sharing
  • Take pride in the craft of your work
