Here’s the gist:

Vettery is a tech company, but what we ultimately do is help people find their dream job.  We are looking for self-starters who care about helping people find a job they love!  It’s pretty simple, we are looking for hungry people with an energy to disrupt an ancient industry, while also enjoying the perks of a growing startup.

The Product Designer will work directly with our Creative Director, CTO, and Product Manager on direction and improvements for internal and external tools. The role's primary function will be owning our product design, but a great candidate will be a generalist, able to work on brand design when necessary.

  • Own the internal and external product design
  • Develop and maintain consistent design and experience across the entire Vettery product
  • Work with the Creative Director to enhance and grow the brand
  • Work with our talent and client teams to ensure needs are being met across the board
  • Collaborate with the development team to prototype and ship complete, functional, and beautiful improvements to the product
  • Manage expectations and update users on changes to the product
  • Over time, grow your team: mentor and develop a team of designers and content creators
  • Run and analyze user testing of new features with our Product Manager
  • 8+ years of professional design experience, with an emphasis on product & interaction design (Startup and SaaS experience a big plus!)
  • Comfortable with light programming (HTML/CSS) and rapid prototyping
  • Experience managing a team of designers and content creators
  • Full knowledge of the Adobe Suite & prototyping software
  • Ability to seamlessly switch from conceptual design to production
  • Team player. Easily be able to pass off a concept or move forward with another designer's work
  • Experience working with a full development team
  • With the above said, we always encourage people of all backgrounds, and all experiences, to apply. More than anyone else, we understand that job requisitions don't always allow your unique work history to shine, and we invite you to show us what you know!

  • Competitive salary
  • Open vacation & sick time
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance
  • Apple laptop computer
  • Frequent team outings, lunches, and team building events
  • A beautiful office in Union Square, recently named one of Crain’s 100 Best Places to Work in New York City
  • Lots of free food: stocked kitchen + beverages
