The Director of Product Design is responsible for defining and delivering design experiences that help our product perform at rapidly-increasing scale. In 2018 we more than doubled the size of our tech team, brought on a VP of Product from Google, a Director of Engineering from Amazon, and grew our user base by 700%. As a key member of the Vettery team, you’ll help shape the product strategy as we continue to streamline the recruiting process using technology. You’ll also hire and oversee a team of world-class product designers helping to execute your vision.
A track record of success building and overseeing sizeable design teams with multiple stakeholders
Passionate about end-to-end product design. You know how to craft experiences that feel good, look good, and address user needs
Demonstrated ability to work in tandem with sophisticated engineering teams and infrastructure to regularly ship features and improvements
Ability to connect product design initiatives to larger product roadmap and overall business goals
Willingness to roll up your sleeves and work at a granular level when needed
6+ total years of design experience (minimum 2 years of management experience) at a growing software company
Lead an end-to-end design process on a cross-functional team, from discovery through UX/UI implementation.
Drive the hiring process in order to meet aggressive headcount goals, with extra emphasis on selling and closing high-end candidates
Research how to better meet the needs of our users, test prototypes, and iterate on design.
Create interaction design and specifications informed by research and business needs and support the team during development
