About this role

The Cyber Security Lead is a pivotal role tasked with safeguarding the company’s digital assets and ensuring the highest information security standards. This role involves leading and managing the Information Security team, overseeing security operations across all business units, and ensuring compliance with regional privacy and security regulations. The successful candidate will develop and implement robust security strategies, manage incident responses, and proactively identify and mitigate security risks.

  • Conduct thorough security testing of web applications and products to identify and remediate vulnerabilities
  • Perform security acceptance testing on software releases to ensure they meet stringent security standards before deployment
  • Oversee the security of cloud-based infrastructure, implementing best practices to protect data and services.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze logs to detect and respond to security threats in real time
  • Conduct security reviews of requirements and design documents, providing actionable recommendations to enhance security
  • Lead the response to security incidents, including phishing attacks, coordinating with relevant teams to mitigate the impact and prevent recurrence
  • Develop, review, and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize open-source intelligence (OSINT) to monitor for potential data breaches and threats, taking proactive measures to protect the organization.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or a Higher Diploma with relevant security certifications
  • Security certifications such as SSCP, CEH, OSCP, or CISA
  • Strong understanding of the functional and logical security vulnerabilities in applications
  • Expertise in cloud security concepts, practices, and tools
  • Proficiency in security administration across multiple operating systems, including Windows, Mac, and Unix-based systems
  • Proven experience in leading security teams and managing security operations in a complex, multi-geographical environment
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive security testing and incident response
  • Experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures
