Veterinarian (Internship Training Required)

We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Veterinarian to join our dynamic 3-doctor team in New York City! This role is ideal for an individual with internship training (Small Animal or Emergency) and at least 2 years of post-internship experience—no new graduates, please.

In this fast-paced, high-volume environment, you will see 16-18 pets per day, with 30-minute GP appointments and one surgery day per week (performing 2-3 surgeries and dentals per day). You will also manage 4-6 drop-offs and walk-ins per shift. We focus on cats and dogs and provide daytime urgent care/emergency treatment, but overnight hospitalization and after-hours care is not offered at this facility (one of our sister locations provides this).

Because surgery is not a requirement, we welcome those who prefer seeing appointments only; however, common surgeries include spays, neuters, mass removals, and dentals. This is a client-facing role that requires exceptional customer service skills, as many of our loyal clients have been with us for years. Our highly trained support staff ensures that our veterinarians can concentrate on patient care, without needing to handle technician tasks.

The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, decisive, has strong communication skills, and is able to thrive in a busy setting. Collaboration with our close-knit team across our three locations is key. You must be passionate about high-quality veterinary care and delivering excellent customer service.

We offer a supportive work environment, with access to specialists in orthopedics, cardiology, and internal medicine. Relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus are available. Join our growing team to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients and their families!
