Job Overview: A Dog Swim Instructor’s primary function at AquaPups is to provide the highest quality in customer service, cleanliness and safety.
In doing so, the Dog Swim Instructor will make a positive difference in the lives of each patient, client, and coworker. This role will ensure the health and happiness of all pets in the facility.

- Schedule and perform introductory, group and private swims
- Assess dog behavior and health for group or private swim or if rehabilitation is needed first
- Caring for boarding cats and administering medications, as directed
- Notify management of supply shortage
- Notify management of broken equipment, client concerns, dog fight, accident, injury, etc.
- Pool equipment proper handling and storage
- Proper handling of chemicals. Pool testing and water chemistry follow chart
- Cleanliness of facility
- Maintain retail, pool equipment, life vests etc
- All AquaPups employees must wear the designated uniform and equipment while working and maintain personal hygiene.
Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to establish positive relationships with owners and pets while encouraging and creating a positive experience at AquaPups. This includes but is not limited to creating appointments, keeping the facility clean, safely using and monitoring the pool, equipment and assisting clients with questions or concerns
- Attach records in the appropriate manner
- Creating and maintaining positive interactions for the owners and pets
- Communicate with clients in a positive manner
- Monitoring patient behavior and acting/reporting accordingly

Specific Duties:
- Responding to all clients in an appropriate manner and address emergencies in a timely manner
- Responding to abnormal behaviors and reporting appropriately to management. This includes but does not limit, upset/angry clients and injuries from owners and pets
- Appropriately using the designated computer system to input patient charges and information. This system is not to be used for personal use
- Assist with checking in patients
- Checking all forms of communication as directed
- Assisting with restocking and cleaning throughout the facility
- Assisting in calling clinics for records and reports and attaching accordingly
- Safe handling/restraint of animals as necessary
- Document all conversations with owners in the appropriate chart
- Maintaining voicemails and responding accordingly
- Processing payments for clients
