Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an individual who shares our CORE values to join our team as a Lead Receptionist! Petersen Pet Hospital in Hiawatha, Iowa is a beautiful, progressive, AAHA Accredited, Fear Free upscale practice with an old-fashioned ethic of kindness, quality and caring.

 Requirements:
We are looking for candidates with leadership and supervisory experience in customer service. Experience working in a veterinary office is preferred but not required. 5+ years of customer service experience (in a leadership role) is also required. Applicants must have a professional work ethic, positive personality, excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for delivering exceptional care to clients.

Schedule: 4 ½ day work week or 38-40 hour work week; some Saturday hours are required

Salary/Pay: $18 - $24/hour

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Ensure that all team members in the Department are productive.
  2. Ensure our clients are receiving excellent customer service and have a great “experience”!
  3. Ensure the tone and communication with team members is high and handle any factors that are lowering this.
  4. Ensure appointments are being scheduled per policy to keep a steady flow of appointments.
  5. Ensure all surgery slots are booked.
  6. Responsible for smooth and efficient patient flow.
  7. Make sure all team members under your supervision are informed about and understand any new policies put in place.
  8. Responsible for training and correction of the CCS team.
  9. Acts as a liaison between Practice Manager, Office Manager, and CCS team for routine matters such as questions about policies and procedures, special projects, etc.
  10. Ensure open/closing procedures are being followed and that the nightly deposits are accurate.
  11. Assist in quarterly/annual reviews on CCS team in conjunction with the PM.
  12. Report to PM routinely (as needed) on posts under your supervision.
  13. Ensure CCS are utilizing all check lists accurately.
  14. Ensure each team member has an accurate and updated job duties list at all times.
