Emergency Room Hospital Nurse

The Emergency Room Nurse enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and  is responsible for performing treatments, making patient assessments, and all other aspects of patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and obtain patient history. 
  • Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.  
  • Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR. 
  • Preparing patients for surgical procedures.
  • Provide support to animals and their owners before and after operations.
  • Assist in the operating theatre as a scrubbed veterinary nurse.
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain patients under general anesthesia with or without mechanical ventilation for patients with varied levels of risk.
  • Perform veterinary nurse consultations.
  • Administer medications and fluid therapy to patients.
  • Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
  • Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients. 
  • Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
  • Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents. 
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain patients under general anesthesia with or without mechanical ventilation for patients with varied levels of risk.
