Once the joint venture is formed, VPP provides support and leadership for marketing, financial, operations, IT and human resources functions while veterinarians lead the clinical and client services functions. Summary:
The Technology Solutions Architect is a pivotal role in spearheading the modernization of our platform and the advancement of VPP IT platform. Technology Solutions Architect is responsible for modernizing and architecting IT infrastructure for our partner hospitals. The Architect will identify gaps in the hospital’s infrastructure from the VPP platform standards, then create a transition plan and bill of materials for the hospital modernization. The architect will be responsible for assessment, design, transition planning and implementation strategy.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Platform Design: Design the VPP hospital technology infrastructure, including network, servers, workstation, and other components. Create design documents, architectural drawings, and documentation of the platform
- Discovery & Gap Analysis: Perform hospital platform discovery to create an adequate understanding of the hospital’s existing infrastructure. Compare the existing infrastructure to the VPP platform standards and create a transition plan and bill of materials necessary for a successful modernization
- Process Development: Develop then implement transition and optimization processes as well as controls consistent with the company’s policy and culture to safeguard the hospital’s data and minimize disruptions
- Manage VPP 3rd Party vendors to maximize capabilities in building the hospital infrastructure in their Labs
- Develop testing strategies for VPP to validate the platform’s stability and transition quality.
- Organization skills that allow for tracking of multiple initiatives in varying stages of platform implementation at the same time
- Ability to translate technical details into high-level concepts and costs to non-technical business leaders
- Self-motivated and able to complete tasks independently, and within expected timelines
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A bachelor's degree is a plus.
- 3-5 yrs experience in a similar position.
Schedule:
- This is a full-time need, Monday-Friday. Flexible schedule.
- Travel: up to 25%.
Necessary Skills and Abilities:
- Deep knowledge of IT platform architecture.
- Broad knowledge of various technologies including Microsoft Servers, Virtual Infrastructure, POS systems and Veterinary Medicine PIMS systems.
- Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.

- The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. The employee needs to occasionally move about their home office to access office machinery, stationary tools, etc.

- The employee will constantly be operating a computer and other office productivity.
