Who Are We Looking For?

Vestwell is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Enablement Trainer to join our team. The Sales Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering, and managing onboarding and ongoing training programs for our sales teams, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and tools needed to succeed. This role will focus on building impactful training strategies that empower our sales professionals to drive revenue growth, enhance customer engagement, and align with Vestwell’s mission to modernize and simplify employee savings programs.

What Will You Be Doing?

Training Program Development:

  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs for new hire onboarding and ongoing sales development.
  • Create engaging training materials, including presentations, role-play exercises, scripts, and assessments.
  • Tailor training programs to address the needs of various roles within the sales organization (SDRs, RVPs, account managers).

Onboarding:

  • Lead onboarding programs for new sales hires to ensure a strong understanding of Vestwell’s products, services, value propositions, and sales processes.
  • Provide initial coaching on CRM tools, pipeline management, and customer outreach best practices.

Ongoing Training & Development:

  • Continuously assess and address skill gaps through advanced training initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor strategies, incorporating insights into training content.
  • Develop and conduct workshops, webinars, and certification programs to refine advanced sales techniques.

Performance Monitoring

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to evaluate training effectiveness through performance metrics, feedback, and analysis.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary adjustments to training programs.
  • Partner with team leads to track individual and team performance to gauge training impact.

Sales Tools & Resources:

  • Train teams on effective use of sales tools such as CRMs, analytics platforms, and prospecting tools.
  • Provide ongoing support and updates for new tools or feature enhancements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align training content with current campaigns, product updates, and customer needs.
  • Incorporate feedback from sales representatives to refine training approaches.

Requirements:

The Necessities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales training, sales enablement, or a similar role, preferably within SaaS or financial services.
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering effective sales training programs.
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies, processes, and tools (e.g., SPIN, MEDDIC, Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with an ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess training program effectiveness through data and KPIs.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

The Extras

  • Experience working in employee savings or financial services industries.
  • Familiarity with Vestwell’s solutions and target customer base.
  • Certifications in sales methodologies or training programs (e.g., Certified Professional Sales Trainer).

This role will be based in Vestwell’s New York HQ and will be expected to report to the office in a hybrid schedule.

The expected base salary range for this position is a minimum of $80K - $90K. This position is eligible to participate in the Company Bonus Pool and is eligible to receive new hire equity in the Company. Please note that salary bands are based on NY and other similar metro areas and may differ based on where the role is ultimately hired.

It starts the same for every candidate: getting to know the team members through 1 - 2 conversations about Vestwell, your experience, and your interests. Next steps can vary by role, but the usual next steps are a skill or experience screen (e.g. a coding interview for an Engineer, a portfolio review for a Designer, deeper experience call for other roles) which leads to a virtual or in-person interview panel after that if the screens go well. Before making an offer, our interview process concludes with a references check stage for your recruiter to meet with a current or former supervisor and peer. We prioritize transparency and lack of surprise throughout the process.
