As Vestmark embarks upon our next stage of growth and evolution, we are seeking a Director, Finance to lead the Financial Planning & Analysis team.

The position is responsible for leading the financial planning process, preparing internal and external reporting, and influencing business decisions through thorough analysis and clear communication. This individual will need to comfortably interact and communicate with individuals at all levels, including senior executives. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and exceptionally driven problem solver who is eager to learn and grow in their career. 

The role will be hybrid, based in Wakefield, MA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning processes
  • Develop and lead the FP&A team to accurately forecast, support, and improve the business through analysis
  • Partner closely with executive and department leaders to manage and review monthly P&L variance analysis, headcount and investment requests
  • Assist in monthly accounting close, including detailed expense review and validation
  • Enhance, automate, and prepare accurate and timely internal and external reporting, including quarterly packages and support for the Board of Directors
  • Provide business analysis and financial support on internal strategic initiatives
  • Identify areas for efficiencies across the organization through cross functional partnerships
  • Provide modeling support on new sales proposals and customer renewals
  • Leverage and maintain Adaptive Planning system for forecasting and reporting

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, including 3+ years of people management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP, as applied to financial reporting standards
  • Experience forecasting and reconciling P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements in a SaaS environment
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning and NetSuite preferred
  • Advanced financial modeling and analysis skills
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills in both formal and informal settings; experience with Board of Directors a plus
  • Excellent team player with emphasis on collaboration
  • Strong interpersonal skills - effective business partner and good executive presence
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic business environment that requires rapid learning, multitasking and prioritization of deliverables
  • Strong communication skills; able to respond and exchange ideas clearly and effectively through writing, speaking, and presentations; shares appropriate information to keep people informed
