Verve seeks a marketing events manager with recent ad tech experience to join our team in New York City. Reporting to the VP, Marketing and Creative, our ideal candidate is a marketing professional with demonstrated expertise in planning and executing brand presence at trade shows and other industry conferences as well as designing and orchestrating private and internal company events. You enjoy working on small, but effective teams, can work under tight deadlines, and possess killer negotiation, relationship building, and project management skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee strategy and execution including negotiation, prioritization, planning, and budget for industry conferences, webinars and internal company and client events
  • Maximize event impact by leading execution of activities before, during, and after events in partnership with the event organizer, Verve clients, and the Verve sales team
  • Track and optimize event return on investment in collaboration with marketing operations
  • Partner cross-functionally with other marketing team members to ensure strategy and message consistency across all efforts, including print collateral and on-site branding
  • Write and pitch event-related speaking proposals, case studies, and awards submissions
  • Contribute to content development for social campaigns, demand generation activities, and marketing efforts for corporate events
  • Plan and manage CRM efforts including pre- and post-event email marketing
  • Source and manage the distribution of branded promotional items


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
  • Keen understanding of the ad tech industry and digital marketing events landscape
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in negotiating, planning, and managing marketing events
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Demonstrated experience in designing event promotion and measurement strategies
  • Experience mapping marketing efforts to back to Salesforce lead tracking
  • Ability to collaborate, think strategically, and develop key messaging/positioning
  • Flexible cross-functional team player energized by working in a fast-paced, fast-evolving, entrepreneurial, environment
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized with the ability to lead and/or manage multiple projects and deadlines
