Verve seeks a Marketing Manager, Awareness & Engagement, to join our team in New York City. Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Marketing, this Manager will play a key role in the strategic planning, design and execution of social, CRM, and marketing events that drive brand awareness and pipeline growth among target prospects and existing clients in the U.S. 

YOU ARE an experienced marketing professional who has demonstrated expertise in managing social channels, orchestrating CRM campaigns and planning and executing major events (field and corporate sponsorships and speaking engagements). You enjoy working on small, multi-disciplinary teams, can work under tight deadlines, and possess killer relationship-building and project management skills. We are seeking someone that can bring new marketing ideas, process improvements and technologies that enhance and evolve our ability to connect with our key audiences, in particular, creating experiences that are engaging and authentic to our brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and manage day to day activity of Verve’s key social media accounts including content and engagement strategy and community management
  • Collaborate with peers and contribute to content development for social campaigns, demand generation activities, and marketing efforts for all corporate events
  • Plan and manage CRM efforts including email marketing and webinars
  • Oversee Verve’s event strategy including event prioritization, event goals, event planning, and budget
  • Develop plans to use social media and CRM to promote all types of event activity, pre-, during and post-event
  • Maximize event impact by leading execution of activities before, during and after event in partnership with event organizer, Verve clients and the Verve sales team
  • Develop event scorecards and recaps, regularly tracking results and reporting on pre, during and post event activity
  • Manage events calendar and ensure that team activity is reflected on marketing calendar and communicated to internal stakeholders
  • Represent Verve as an on-the-ground brand representative in the exhibitor/sponsor space at flagship events in priority markets
  • Track and optimize event return on investment; conduct hindsight analysis to inform future event presence and overall strategy
  • Partner with marketing colleagues to ensure strategy and message consistency across all efforts, and to execute special projects when necessary
  • Produce event playbooks, promotional collateral, updates and templates to create consistency across events, to automate the event communications process and to advise/prepare Sales
  • Design mid-sized customer events, owning all project management and end-to-end planning and execution
  • Provide light support for the sales team with smaller, client-focused entertainment events
  • Manage business unit event budget and provide monthly forecast updates to direct supervisor and finance partner
  • Manage external vendor relationships

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field of study. MBA a plus yet not required
  • 5+ years’ experience in digital marketing with demonstrated expertise in social media, lead gen/CRM campaign management, and event planning, management and execution
  • Direct experience leading and successfully executing B2B events and conferences, roundtables, summits and/or webinars
  • Skilled negotiator with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less and staying on budget
  • Creative thinker who keeps up to date with current event and marketing trends
  • Ability to collaborate, think strategically and contribute to the development of  messaging and positioning
  • Agile cross-functional team player energized by working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment in an ever-evolving  data-driven mobile marketing industry
  • Strong communication, presentation, development, and delivery skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Superior project management skills, highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and Excel     
  • Light domestic travel required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in marketing B2B technology products or services
  • Working knowledge of industry tools such as Salesforce and Pardot
  • Experience working in the adtech/mobile marketing industry
