Position Overview:
Verra Mobility is looking to hire a Legal Intern to join its Legal Department to support legal and compliance functions at Verra Mobility.
Essential Responsibilities:
The successful individual will be versatile, hands-on, ambitious, and eager to gain exposure to a variety of legal and compliance matters at a rapidly growing publicly traded corporation, including but not limited to compliance, corporate and commercial contracts, litigation and dispute resolution, corporate governance, department operations, real estate, labor and employment, and risk management. The individual will work under the supervision of a Verra Mobility lawyer.
The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Reviewing, drafting, and revising contracts, policies, and other legal documents;
- Reviewing and enhancing training for legal and compliance matters;
- Assisting with various legal and compliance department operations initiatives.
- Travel not required.
Requirements:
- 1L or 2L actively enrolled in an accredited law school, in good standing, pursuing a Juris Doctor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues in an organized, simple, and understandable manner.
- Adaptable, versatile, and able to work well in time-sensitive situations and fast-paced environments.
- Commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards.
- Desire to learn from in-house attorneys.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Desire to develop business insight and pragmatism.
