This is a permanent, full time and hybrid role, working from home and our South Melbourne office.

The role: 

As the Government Solutions Senior Product Manager (Software) at Verra Mobility, you'll guide our cloud data processing solutions, driving strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management. Collaborating with and supporting teams to innovate and leverage technology for top-notch back-office systems. We are looking for a tech-savvy leader who can merge customer needs with technology to shape our back-office solutions, managing their lifecycle and ensuring high quality while minimising costs. As a customer focused Senior Product Manager at Verra Mobility you will work on:

  • Strategic Vision & Relationship Management: Develop a deep understanding of business goals and processes while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and customers to shape product strategy and prioritise needs effectively.
  • Market Analysis & Roadmap Maintenance: Monitor business, market, and technology trends to inform product strategy, proposing innovative solutions, and maintaining a roadmap that prioritises feature delivery to meet customer needs and ensure market leadership.
  • Requirements Translation & Performance Evaluation: Translate business requirements into actionable product specifications through prototyping, while continuously monitoring and evaluating product performance, championing improvements, and securing business approvals.
  • Resource Management & Collaboration: Determine internal and external resources needed to deliver on the product roadmap, partnering with engineering and support teams to ensure optimal design and delivery of solutions, and guiding the product engineering team using established methodologies and best practices.
  • Problem-Solving & Compliance: Proactively identify and resolve blockers to achieve business objectives, including technical and resourcing challenges, while ensuring alignment and adherence to corporate, financial, and IT standards, including architecture, compliance, and security.
  • Financial Management & Performance Tracking: Manage investment decision making and finances for the product, focusing on return-on-investment, while defining, tracking, and communicating relevant KPIs to measure performance and contribution to business goals.

Who are you?

To drive successful outcomes in this key role you would hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related technical field, with at least 5 years of experience in technology and product development, preferably with 3 years in defining requirements and leading product strategy. An MBA would be a valuable asset. You possess a broad understanding of cloud and compute technologies, multimedia data processing, and artificial intelligence, with knowledge of APIs and developer experience being advantageous. Experience or interest in image and video processing, mobility, and road safety would also be beneficial. Exceptional mentoring, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills are all essential, along with a proven ability to guide cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
