As a global leader in smart mobility solutions, we're looking for a passionate and collaborative DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in enhancing our DevOps pipelines and deployment systems.

The Role:

As a DevOps Engineer at Verra Mobility, you'll be a collaborative and positive member of the Software Development team, ensuring high levels of performance and availability in our DevOps pipelines and deployment systems. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong background in CI/CD methodologies, particularly in cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively collaborate with our talented Software Development team.
  • Ensure pipelines meet operational and security requirements.
  • Design and implement innovations for enhanced software velocity, infrastructure resiliency, security, and data availability.
  • Create efficient CI/CD pipelines for code releases and work in parallel with Software team members during code builds.
  • Collaborate with Architecture to guide technology stack changes.
  • Respond to system issues and engage in high-priority incident calls outside standard hours.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs, adapting roadmap plans for operational challenges.
  • Ensure rigorous automated testing during code deployment.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies to drive continuous improvement.

Who are you?

As the ideal DevOps Engineer for Verra Mobility, you are a sharp, analytical problem solver and a dedicated customer advocate. Your communication prowess and knack for building relationships shine as you collaborate effortlessly with diverse stakeholders. You are skilled in DevOps tools like GIT, SVN, Jenkins, JIRA, Rally, Greenhopper, Puppet/Chef, Vagrant, and Selenium. You bring hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Chef, Puppet, PowerShell, Ruby, Python, Shell Script, or JavaScript. From and AWS perspective exposure RDS, EKS, Route53 and load balancers would be a preference. From a non AWS alignment: Docker, Helm & Terraform. As there are multiple roles we also have preference for Kubernetes experience for one of the two! Proficient in Jira or Azure DevOps, you seamlessly navigate Agile/Scrum practices. Your well-developed verbal, listening, comprehension, and written communication skills will make you a valuable asset to our collaborative team environment.
