POSITION SUMMARY 

We're looking for a high performing Vice President, Vertical & Growth Marketing who will own and run Product Marketing, Campaign Management, and Partner Marketing team and functions for BUs with Veritone including Media & Entertainment, Sports Marketing, Public Sector, Human Resources, Public Safety, Legal,and Financial Services. This role will also work closely with the aiWARE and Services teams and should be familiar with the key business challenges and technologies that are enabling innovative new solutions (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Over-The-Top (OTT), Internet of Things, Mobile, and Generative AI). 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

As the VP of Vertical Marketing & Growth Marketing you will be responsible for executing integrated marketing activities both through direct sales and with AWS and joint Veritone/Carahsoft partners, Professional Services, and Alliances and Channel Partners.  You will have a set of focus partners that aligns with and augments global marketing focus, program management, and driving revenue through partnerships.    

Product Marketing Strategy 

  • Understand our market, buyers, and competition to shape Veritone product story and narrative
  • Craft, own, and evangelize our product value and benefits to convey the value of Veritone’s solutions, products, and services as they relate to our direct customers and partner ecosystem
  • Create compelling, high-quality content for internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop strategic marketing plans to drive awareness, education, and evangelism for the entire portfolio with customers, prospects, media, analysts, and influencers
  • Partner with Product Management to thread the operations portfolio throughout our platform and product messaging
  • Execute on a solutions-marketing based approach and deliver integrated content that drives pipeline
  • Influence the content strategy to ensure comprehensive and updated marketing assets and support integrated marketing campaigns
  • Drive direct and partner product and solution launches, ensuring the field is enabled and other GTM teams can execute their launch tactics
  • Work closely with the corporate marketing team to permeate product messaging across web and other customer-facing communication vehicles
  • Support funnel growth activities, such as blog posts, press releases, SEO, campaigns, and technology events, by providing core messaging
  • Present to Sales and customers at both internal and external events
  • Benchmark and assess the impact of your work against key business metrics

Campaign Management 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive field marketing strategy aligned with the company's vision and business objectives.
  • Own customer-facing communication approaches for aiWARE and serve as primary marketing point of contact with internal and external business partners, enabling strong, collaborative working relationships.
  • Plan and execute from start to finish campaigns and programs that drive lead generation, conversion to pipeline and close revenue
  • Define local and regional marketing objectives, target audiences, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
  • Identify the right marketing mix to achieve strategic goals including digital, email/nurture, webinars, SEO, ABM, events, local programs, partner programs, and more.
  • Plan and execute localized marketing campaigns in collaboration with regional sales teams and cross-functional marketing partners, aligned with core business and marketing objectives.
  • Closely monitor local campaign performance and provide insights for optimization.

Partnership and Community Engagement 

  • Owning and managing partner portal, revenue/pipeline dashboards, MDF, reporting, and sharing trends monthly/quarterly.
  • Content creation including writing of email campaigns, webinar themes/abstracts, communications to both partners and customers on program deliverables.
  • Identify local partnerships and community engagement opportunities to enhance brand recognition.
  • Foster a sense of partner and community involvement and support for the company.
  • Identify the optimal key partners to collaborate with in order to increase Veritone’s pipeline and brand awareness
  • Be the global marketing expert on AWS’s relationships focused on creating content and activities that educate customers on the services, benefits, and differentiation of the relationship.
  • Plan, develop, and execute the implementation of multi-channel partner programs and marketing campaigns (events, webinars, digital campaigns, etc.) to drive demand generation
  • Collaborate with the Product & Customer Marketing teams to create partnership collateral, including partner enablement content, use cases, case studies, etc.
  • Management and execution of a portfolio of integrated marketing activities to achieve the greatest possible ROI through existing global partner campaigns to drive revenue through AWS Marketplace and partner programs

Budget Management 

  • Manage the field & BU marketing budget for local and regional initiatives.
  • Allocate resources effectively to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Track and report on expenses related to field marketing campaigns
  • Awareness of budget tracking, MDF management, and how it plays into the overall partner marketing plan, including tracking ROI with an acute ability to drill down into performance data.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED 

  • Minimum of 15+ years Campaign & Partner marketing management – rolling out campaigns and programs, regionally, with sales, to enable optimal lead follow-up and ROI (this is NOT entry level).
  • A good grasp of account-based marketing and how to work an ABM program through cross functional integration.
  • Experience using salesforce.com, Pardot or other email marketing tools, and partner portal or content syndication tools for campaign mapping and execution
  • Lead management - tracking and reporting on marketing leads generated in a region, holding sales accountable for follow-up and pipeline reporting.
  • The ability to track program performance within an agreed set of parameters to specific KPIs.
  • The ability to develop regional buyer and customer insights to be shared internally with relevant teams.
  • Customer marketing - including references, advocacy, and customer campaigns. Collaborating with the customer teams to gain insight into customer behaviors and matching activities to drive engagement.
  • Event management, including the evaluation of potential events, execution, follow up, tracking and reporting.

WHO YOU ARE 

  • Fifteen  years’ minimum experience in technology sales/marketing including Artificial Intelligence/ML / Gen AI and B2B Marketing (ideally enterprise software) with  partners – VAR/Resellers, ATS - Applicant Tracking Systems and System Integrators - AWS a plus
  • Experience working with Carahsoft as a distributor
  • Experience in marketing AI solutions/services 
  • Experience in running marketing teams focused on Public Sector, Media & Entertainment and HR customer base
  • Proven track record with demand generation initiatives.
  • Metrics-focused and detail-oriented with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who has the ability to get the job done.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven, demonstrated ability to influence others, work cross-functionally, and build and maintain successful relationships internally and externally.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present and position marketing plans.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); CRM tools such as Salesforce.com; and project management tools (Asana).
  • A willingness to travel, as required for the role.
