Verisign is hiring an International Tax Manager to join our tax team as the person responsible for international tax compliance preparation (including U.S. Federal and foreign tax filings), assistance with transfer pricing, tax planning, and tax audits. This position reports to the Senior Manager of International Tax.
Key responsibilities:
Tax compliance
- Prepare the international portions of the U.S. federal income tax return (Form 5471s, 8858s, 8991, 8992, 8993 and the 1118), including cumulative E&P and foreign tax credit calculations
- Prepare the international portion of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 (FAS 109) and ASC 740-10-50 (FIN 48)
- Assist with the preparation, review, and filing of tax returns and payment of taxes due in foreign countries, including coordination with external advisors to ensure timely and accurate compliance, as well as inclusion of tax amounts in the local statutory accounts
- Oversight of S-Ox Section 404 compliance requirements
- Assist with modeling and compliance obligations related to Pillar 2
Transfer pricing
- Manage global transfer pricing documentation process
- Monitor intercompany transactions and assist with maintaining/updating intercompany agreements
- Prepare intercompany charges
Tax Planning
- Work with various members of the tax team to develop and maintain the international tax structure
- Manage and review the legal entity organizational chart
- Monitor and address international tax developments and tax law changes that impact Verisign's operations
Tax audits
- Provide support for foreign tax audits and IRS audits pertaining to international matters
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in accounting or finance required. CPA, MST or JD desired
- Five to eight or more years of international tax experience at Big 4 and/or corporate tax department
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. international and foreign tax and tax accounting issues
- Ability to conduct thorough tax research and develop supportable tax positions and documentation
- Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a strong team player
- Some international travel may be required
This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule
The pay range is $132,500 - $179,300.
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
