Job Description
We are seeking a data engineer to be part of our Data Engineering team. Your contributions will be instrumental in developing key applications used by healthcare and life sciences researchers to pioneer new therapies. You'll thrive in our dynamic, highly collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines.
- Build efficient operational data infrastructure for data deliverables.
- Implement best practices for data management, data quality, and data governance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure the availability, integrity, and security of data.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance data engineering capabilities.
- Development of ETL processes and data integration solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a data engineering role preferably in the healthcare space, with a focus on leading teams.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
- Expertise in designing and implementing scalable and efficient data pipelines.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with any of the cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or big data technologies.
- Prior experience in working with complex healthcare data, including electronic health records, claims, and disease registries.
