Job Summary:
As a Business Development Associate, you will manage support functions essential to sales productivity, allowing our Policy and Partnerships Team to more efficiently expand Veo’s market share domestically and globally. This role will be key to Veo’s success in expanding our service in both cities and universities, and will focus on both existing RFP opportunities, as well as new business lead generation. You will work closely with other members of Veo’s Public Policy and Partnerships team, as well and Veo’s hardware and software departments to ensure coordinated communication of Veo’s strengths to potential partners. Veo’s Business Development Associate must be motivated and active team players capable of excelling in a fast-paced work environment and serving in a public-facing role for a dynamic and growing company.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for all aspects of sales planning, implementation, and reporting
- Work closely with Veo’s Senior Business Development Associate to ensure accurate forecasting quota management
- Manage long-term and constructive relationships with external clients that expand Veo’s total addressable market and help the company win permits to operate in more cities
- Create pitch materials and presentations for a wide variety of stakeholders and lead the outreach and in-person/virtual engagement to potential clients
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years of experience working in sales, business or marketing
- Ability to work independently and a high degree of comfort with ambiguity
- Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of target market characteristics and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages and presentations
- Startup and/or SaaS experience strongly preferred
- Expertise in BI tools and CRM systems
- Experience maintaining strong relationships with potential clients over time
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- Happy to travel (up to 30%) and welcome last-min arrangements

Compensation
- The overall market range for this role is $90,000- $100,000 for this position, with a competitive equity package and total compensation evaluated bi-annually.
