Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Director, Supplier Performance will design, implement and maintain a corporate supplier performance management program. In this role, the Sr. Director, Supplier Performance will partner with various stakeholders in operations, procurement, materials management, engineering and project management to keep records of supplier performance, initiate supplier performance actions, establish key supplier steering committee rhythms, and ensure supplier continuous improvement. This individual will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Establish a standard set of supplier performance metrics, collect data, and create supplier performance reporting method,
- Develop and implement supplier performance improvement programs and action plans,
- Work with suppliers to execute improvement programs,
- Share supplier performance data during bidding processes to support commercial bid evaluations,
- Schedule, organize and facilitate regular Supplier Steering Committee to bring together executive level leadership from Venture Global and key suppliers/contractors to review performance and strategies,
- Serve as the senior liaison between the site Supplier Relationship Managers within the procurement team and the broader organization,
- Act as the single entry point to administer Supplier Onboarding Process working across the various functions to evaluate suppliers during onaboarding,
- Identify and execute sourcing strategies or collaboration activities with key suppliers,
- Perform other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business or related field,
- 7-10 years in a similar Procurement, Supply Chain or Supplier Performance Management roles,
- Excellent knowledge of sourcing, procurement and delivery processes,
- Ability to analyze data, create sophisticated metrics and reports,
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and present key details and conclusions,
- Proficient with MS OfficeSuite, SAP and Coupa procurement systems is preferred,
- Interest in and comfort with being a part of a team environment with rapidly changing assignments and priorities,
- Demonstrated initiative and ownership of work with strong attention to detail,
- Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement reports,
- Willing to report in office daily, with occasional nights and weekend work required,
- Periodic travel to sites in Texas, Louisiana and/or suppliers in various domestic and international locations will be required.
Work Hours: 8AM – 5PM, Mon – Friday (some overtime may be required)
