We are seeking candidates for the (12 Month) Apprenticeship program for Venture Global LNG. To be eligible for the Apprenticeship program you must be enrolled or have recently completed an NCCER certification program for this specified role.
General Description:
As a Maintenance Mechanical Apprentice you will be required to complete a Venture Global LNG structured training program to become a skilled Instrument Tech. This training program will be a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job training under the supervision of qualified, experienced Mechanical Tech.
As an apprentice, some of the duties may include:
- Observing and assisting experienced Mechanical Techs in day to day tasks
- Learning how to use and understanding Venture Global Documents which include policies, procedures and P&ID’s
- Recording daily activities, reporting data and assisting in maintaining records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
- Communicating with other Instrument Techs and Supervisors to ensure learning and communication is being effectively demonstrated
The length of an apprenticeship program can vary depending on the business needs. This apprenticeship term will be 12 months. During this time, the apprentice will receive a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training through mentorship with qualified personnel. Upon completion of the program, the apprentice will have gained the knowledge and skills needed to become a skilled Mechanic. Within the 12-month program the business may have job opportunities come up that the candidate can and will be evaluated for to fill the open positions.
Instrument Tech Apprentices requirements that must be met:
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license before start date OR Honorable discharge from any 4-year military service
- Successful completion of the degree with a 3.0 GPA prior to start date
- Successful completion of a Craft Specific certification program prior to start date
- Pass a DOT background check, drug screening, physical exam and acquire TWIC card
- Must be available to work a shift schedule, including nights and weekends
