We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Operations Shutdown Completions and Turnaround Outage Manager.

Turnaround Manager

General Description (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned):

This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, communicating, and closing complex, integrated Turnaround outages. This position must be familiar with work performed during outages, including, but not limited to gas turbines, pretreatment facilities, licensed liquefaction units, multiple complex projects, instrumentation and controls upgrades, complex balance of an operating facility and other designated work scopes. The Outage Manager leads a matrix team of internal and external resources to develop a logically integrated outage schedule, then supports successful completion of outage work safely, on schedule and on budget. Develops and monitors the outage schedule, communicates outage status and exceptions, tracks scope changes during the outage, also tracks and communicates outage risks. The outages managed by the Outage Manager use the Venture Global Outage Management Procedure to provide consistent planning, execution, and closure of complex integrated outages that ensure safe, operational reliability and efficiency. Provide outage leadership to both internal and external organizations and entities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • In-depth and broad, extensive knowledge of outage management industry best practices.
  • Highly skilled professional with wide-ranging, advanced LNG technical experience to resolve complex issues.
  • Competent to work at very high level in multiple knowledge areas and functions as an advanced contributor.
  • Ability to make decisions on complex issues regarding integration of project turnaround components and advanced tasks on overall outage.
  • Lead the integration of internal and external resources, identifies opportunities to develop integrate processes, tools, services and techniques within the operational facility.
  • Plans and leads complex integrated plant outages.
  • Ability to use independent judgment requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors including risk, safety, cost, and schedule.
  • Independently selects methods, techniques, analytical approach and evaluation criteria. Determines methods and procedures for new assignments.
  • Serves as project/technical lead on medium to large outage projects; regularly coordinates work of professionals, technicians and others outside of own department.
  • Train and mentor employees on technical skills.
  • Collaborate and solve problems – works with others to resolve significant issues, clarify or interpret complex information, provide initial screening/negotiations.
  • Leads matrix organization teams

The position is a key position in the Operations Projects Group and will build, support and develop strong working relationships within the group, other corporate stakeholders, and associated construction contractors, vendors, suppliers, etc. It is an essential role in delivering operations project success and meeting expectations and requirements. Additionally, driving a strong safety culture, environmental stewardship and operational excellence, while delivering a safe and operable plant and maintaining a license to operate will underpin this leadership position.

This role will be based out of Point Celeste, LA at our Plaquemines LNG site with regular frequent business trips to operations facilities, project locations, contractors, vendors, suppliers, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business or engineering
  • 10 or more years in area of specialization with in-depth experience across knowledge areas and multiple functions including LNG project outage management and plant maintenance and/or operations
  • Highly skilled professional with wide-ranging, LNG advanced technical experience to resolve complex issues
  • Competent to work at very high level in multiple knowledge areas and functions as an advanced contributor
